Fosimo 0.8.6 is Available - Friend Details

Fosimo 0.8.6 Released. Fosimo 0.8.6 is a Facebook Desktop Client for Windows. You can download it for free here.

In this release:

• When "Friend status update" notification window shows up - it is possible to click on the photo - and navigate to your friend's details (including current status). "Friend Details" window is similar to "My Profile" window from the context menu. Currently there are some basic details, however more fields will be added in the upcoming versions.
• Overall fixes and improvements.

I know it is still in Beta (and there hasn't been a release in some time) but I was wondering if you have thought about using Snarl for the notifications rather than your own?

It is very frustrating how MsnMessenger, Outlook, GMailNotifier, Fosimo and other system-tray utils have implemented their own `toaster` popup windows and non of them look remotely alike.

Would be nice to have some consistency and abstraction (eg. configuring only Snarl for all toaster events) for these tools.

I haven't heard about Snarl before.
In any case I disagree with you:
Outlook, MSNMessenger, GMail Notifier "toasts" look very much alike and I'm pretty sure that Snarl copied the concept.

Why should I use 3rd party instead of my own ?
I cannot see any reason.
Snarl is very limited, under development therefore cannot be redistributed with new versions.

However - I think it is a good idea to have one tool to configure all toaster events but not practical.
