Today's clip Timekiller by Project Pitchfork from 2001. Project Pitchfork is a german band. Timekiller sounds more like a club-style music I think.

What is interesting is this. Michael Jackson was seriously ill for years having serious diseases like lupus and vitiligo, not to mention being most of the time under tremendous stress and pressure and still managed to survive and to be on the top.

Today I want to share a music video by Seal from 90s. Seal also has lupus (like Michael Jackson) and it made him loose his hair and left scars on his face. Seal became famous in 1990 when he participated on vocals in one project by Adamski called Killer.

The following music video is called "Crazy":

This is a live performance from 90s I guess.

When I watch this video I see: work, work and work ! The performance is so close to perfect - it's amazing.

Similar style with more solid bass theme can be found on Super Freak hit from 1981. Super Freak's theme was stolen entirely by MC Hammer to produce a megahit called "U Can't Touch This".

How sad it is that some people create things and others steal them to try and get easy money. BTW, the same is true for software application development.

Rick James died from health complications caused by drugs in 2004.

Today I'm postin "Real Muthaphuckkin G's" by Eazy-E (former N.W.A founder) with amazing real rap. "Real Muthaphuckkin G's" is a song from the unfinished album called "Str8 off tha Streetz of Muthaphukkin Compton".

Eazy-E died from AIDS in 1995. His last message to his fans:

"Now, I'm in the biggest fight of my life and it ain't easy. But I want to say much love to those who have been down with me and thanks for all your support. Just remember: It's YOUR real time and YOUR real life."

I'll try to post a piece of music every saturday, so check it out :)

Usually when I post music here I try to choose something very influential along with what I personally like. At first I wanted to post Get Ready for This by 2Unlimited. But I decided not to since "Get Ready for This" is overused (mostly in various sports events) despite the fact that it is huge piece of work. Instead I'd post something less sophisticated from the 90s eurodance era.

"I Like You" by Culture Beat featuring Jay Supreme and Lana Earl on vocals:

"Culture Beat" became very famous for their huge hits in the early 90s such as Mr Vain. Culture Beat's founder Torsten Fenslau was killed in the car accident just on the peak of success.

Enjoy

Break Machine - Street Dance

<trackback:ping>http://blogs.x2line.com/al/services/trackbacks/3447.aspx</trackback:ping>

I always thought that 80s was the music era. Music industry has never reached the amount of talent since then. My theory is that in 80s it was music where most talented would try to go to express themselves. in 90s and 2000s it is IT and internet industry which possess most talented people. In 50s and 60s it was like science - physics (?).

So I decided to post some 80s classics - "Street Dance" by Break Machine (with Fred Zarr on the keyboards).

"...music such as this gets remembered and praised because it is history..."

One of underrated groups of 80s...

Lyrics by american poet Emily Dickinson:

WILL there really be a morning?
Is there such a thing as day?
Could I see it from the mountains
If I were as tall as they?
Has it feet like water lilies?
Has it feathers like a bird?
Is it brought from famous countries
Of which I ’ve never heard?
Oh some scholar, oh some sailor,
Oh some wise man from the skies,
Please to tell a little pilgrim
Where the place called morning lies.
