Fosimo Growth: Hits 100 Active Users

Fosimo - a Facebook desktop application has passed 100 in active-user total yesterday.

It's been a month since Fosimo was Approved to the Facebook Application Directory. Here is Fosimo About Page on Facebook.

Fosimo's 100 active users come out of 400-450 downloads of the tool. I guess most people download just everything on their desktop but wait forever to test or install stuff :)

The pace may be a bit slow but very solid for a desktop application. Overall I get a good feedback. Unlike thousands of Facebook applications for Web (aka widgets) there are only 27 Facebook applications for Desktop currently listed in the application directory. In order to install a Facebook desktop application the user has to:

• Download the application.
• Install it on her/his system.
• Register it on Facebook.

On the other hand a web application could be installed with a single click. In addition a Facebook desktop application has to be reviewed very carefully by Facebook folks before approval to the Facebook application directory.

Anyway I'd like to thank all people who have provided feedback so far. It helped a lot :)

Cool little app, though could you perhaps make it so on the notification boxes, it has the word 'is' before the status update, so that it makes more sense. For instance, I just had one saying:

Karen
wrecked

It would be better to say:

Karen
is wrecked

or even:

Karen is wrecked

all on one line.
