Fosimo was approved to the Facebook Application Directory today (finally). Please, give it a try :)

It is a bit difficult for a desktop application to be approved by Facebook. In order to test desktop application Facebook folks have to understand what application is supposed to do, download, install, confirm it as a Facebook user. Only then - test it. So application has to be functional (LOL).

What is Fosimo

Fosimo checks every 10 minutes (by default) vs. Facebook servers regarding your friends "status updates". "Status update" remains relevant for 3 hours (by default) - it should be created within 3 hours by one of your friends... When Fosimo finds relevant "status updates" - it shows small notification windows in tray (style MSN messenger or Google notifier). Fosimo should check for relevant updates every 10 minutes.

Future Versions

• Status relevancy (3 hours) and check frequency (10 minutes) are configurable currently via configuration file. In the future versions UI for configuration will be provided.
• Currently Fosimo has minimal feature set, however the plan is to utilize Facebook API entirely. I didn't want to add more features before Application Directory approval.
