Firefox on Steroids: Play safe, Play fair
Just came across the article on ipkonfig.com -- Firefox on steroids. The author promises:
"...That's all there is to it, and if you're on a broadband connection your page load will be at least 2-3 times faster then previously. This is just the one of the many advantages that Firefox has over Internet Explorer."
with several configuration changes via about:config. So I followed the instructions. It worked perfectly and fast for about a day despite the fact that I've noticed several weird things in its behaviour. Then came the first crash, then the second and after that it crashed several times in different situations even when not running at all (on system startup). I uninstalled the browser (Firefox 1.02) but didn't succeed to remove the record of Firefox 1.01 from add/remove programs.
