Thursday updates: onecone, delicer and other

New logo for www.onecone.com. May be it is not the final version. Designed by Vitold Polyak. Vitold Polyak is also the man behind x2line logo design.

Delicer - del.icio.us client tool (freeware) was listed on Quick Online Tips del.icio.us tools collection. Currently it is #2. See related blog post about Delicer client.

Speaking of Delicer - it just passed 100 downloads today. Several small fixes and new features are planned for the next week.

Last weekend I got a sun burn - my face was red several days. And I'm slowly starting a new job. A lot of work ahead of me.

# sunburn
You should go easy on the sunburn - the most common cancer in people is skin cancer - there are almost a million cases every year in the US and the only risk factor is sun exposure (also caused by arsenic and some other things but is less than 1%). While most of them are easily treatable (90%) some of them can be deadly. It is very easily preventable with sunscreen - SPF30-45 should be fine. The best ones are the ones that contain Zinc Oxide microspheres.

From your actual Wikipedia link:
Commercial preparations are available that block UV light, known as sunscreens. Sometimes called suncreams or sunblocks, they have a Sun Protection Factor (SPF) rating, based on the sunblock's ability to reduce the UVB radiation at the skin: the higher the SPF rating, the greater the protection. A sunscreen rated SPF15 blocks 93.3% UVB and an SPF30 rated sunscreen blocks 96.7%. It is best to use a broad spectrum sunscreen in order to protect against both UVA and UVB radiation. It is prudent to use waterproof formulations if one plans to engage in water-based activities.

Sunscreen should have a SPF rating of at least 15. It should be applied half an hour before going out and reapplied every two hours thereafter.
