Music: The Sugarhill Gang
Just listened several times to Sugarhill Gang claimed to be the first Hip-Hop/Rap group ever to make it to the mainstream. After the 3rd time listening I finally got it. It does not sound like Mano Negra which I mentioned earlier. KK5 by Mano Negra also sounds like Hip-Hop but a bit more punk energetic at the first glance. The Sugarhill Gang sounds easier but accumulates a lot of energy inside itself. I've also heard before, that Rap started long ago in the 70s and early 80s in New York and you can feel 80s in the song. Suprisingly it has break dance rhythms in it so I imagine break dancers when I listen to it.
