SQL Server 2005 Product Line published

Today (24/02) SQL Server 2005 Product Line was published introducing SQL Server Workgroup Edition:

"SQL Server 2005 Workgroup Edition supports up to 2 CPUs, 2 gigabytes of memory, and an unlimited database size. Workgroup Edition is a great entry-level database for smaller departments in a larger organization or for businesses that have outgrown MSDE or even Small Business Server Premium Edition, which includes SQL Server 2000".

If I understand correctly, Developer edition will be also available for MSSQL 2000: A Look at SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2000 Workgroup Edition.

and speaking about Developer and Express Editions:

"We will have a Developer Edition so that developers can build and test their applications before deploying them to their production servers. Express Edition replaces MSDE and provides a new set of capabilities such as XCopy deployment, a very easy to understand licensing model, a graphical management tool, and also SQL Server Reporting Services controls so you can quickly build reports off your Express Edition data"

Update: In addition have a look at SQL Server 2005 Features Comparison table.
