Yes, www.asp.net is dead. IMHO. At least forums. Samples are still worth the respect. Ok, may be gotdotnet.com workspaces better. Why is it dead ? Well, I'll explain. 436901 users have contributed to 152963 threads and 562866 posts. Just read some threads. Read some answers of Microsoft folks. It seems all the web tool team is there. That is why web tools in whidbey look so unreal. Of course there are also huge advantages and I respect the whole thing. Come on folks, asp.net forums community does not reflect asp.net development. If you group all these posts by similarity you would get may be 10000 posts. How many real apps do these 400000 wrote. I'd bet hundreds. Oh, and after all these forums are moderated, so you need to wait 12 hours to see your post online. During this time you forget what was it all about. Even RSS feeds for every forum don't help.
