Visual Blogger 2004 Sucks

Come on, .Text has its code open. I don't know just why Scott Watermasysk is doing it, but this is the fact. I didn't find any credit to him. Open source code either. Hey you have based the whole thing on .Text. Just to clear the situation, Visual Blogger (Robert McLaws) is a tool to make posts from windows to your blog based one of the favorite blogger engine .Text.

You have a bunch of dlls there. After 0.5 hour I was not able to configure it properly. Yes, you have to provide username and password to your blog and you just don't know where do you send it. And I was not able to save my blog configuration either.

I just don't understand the blogger wave about this product. Have you tried it, guys ? Seems no. Therefore please do some homework first.

I gotta agree with you! .Text is a farly good implementation with good standards (hats off to Scott), I know it because for a living I have build huge complex web applications - taking man years.

In respect to Visual Blogger, I tried using it - twice- and both time I failed. It was too buggy, and I could not even get one post out. What use is some code which does nothing and just end up taking up diskspace.

Hopefully those guys are reading this and maybe get it fixed - I do like the idea and would love to give it another spin - once its working.

Amit.

Amit:

You know, you can post to .Text via Bloggar (win app). Scott writes how to configure it.

why do you guys needs programs to do something so simple
like output text to a web page? A little scripting knowledge and HTML
is all you need. I guess I don't understand this whole blog thing.
